“Karen’s Notes!
“Insights from a Glory-Bound Lady”

Selected Notes
Volume 4 Number 21 “Praise Keeps the Proper Perspective!”

May 26th, 2021

I am holding Karen’s notes for a Friday night and all day Saturday ladies’ conference. Please allow me the privilege of lifting just a portion of one of the paragraphs from one of the sessions that she was presenting. In that particular conference Karen was speaking on the theme of not only knowing the Lord but trusting Him and focusing on Him even in the overwhelming situations of life.

The Psalmist and Moses were part of this paragraph. Let me share the Scripture verses and then the tiny portion of her comments.

“Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). “And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM has sent me unto you” (Exodus 3:14).

Karen wrote: Be reflective on this verse. Remember Who He is. “I am God!” Think of what He told Moses. “I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you” (Exodus 3:14). Think of what He has done for you. Praise Him. It will help you to get the right perspective.

Michael’s observation: This is just a small portion of what she shared. However, let me key in on the concept of praising Him and keeping the right perspective. We don’t live in denial. However, we can live in such a way as to keep things in the right perspective. Focusing on Who He is and what this means to us personally will cause us to better praise and trust Him. It’s fine to tell the Lord about our problems. Just don’t forget to tell your problems how big your God is! This isn’t just theory, friends. I can tell you from experience that God can be trusted! One year ago today a massive heart attack struck. “Be still and know that I am God” brought such comfort and quietness in spite of the drama of the siren, air horns, and the dear paramedic feverishly working over me. I couldn’t speak out loud. But it was a precious silent praise service that day. By the way, I still need to be praising and keeping the right perspective!
