“As for me, I will behold Thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with Thy likeness” (Psalm 17:15).
Pastor Kenward stood before the class of students in his Pastoral Theology lecture. As he was referred to at the Bible Institute, “Dr. Kenward” was challenging the class of future pastors not to allow the theological truth of the believer’s resurrection to become mere academia. He just sensed that the glorious impact of Christ’s resurrection and our future life with Him wasn’t getting through. He felt somewhat frustrated about this when the bell rang and he closed his teaching time in prayer. “Lord, there is coming a day when we will actually see You as well as be with You. May this awesome, awesome truth make an impact upon our lives, I pray. In Jesus’ name, Amen.” With that, the class was dismissed. You won’t believe what happened the next Monday night. I’ll tell you about it tomorrow.
For today: How does the wonderful truth of seeing the Lord Jesus and being with Him impact your life today?
