“And now, little children, abide in Him; that, when He shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before Him at His coming” (I John 2:28).
To be honest with you, I am amazed at God’s grace. Everything I have, everything I do, everything I believe is only because of God’s amazing grace. It reminds me of a conversation between a dad and his soon-to-be-married son. “You know, Dad, there are some in our family that laugh at you and have even been, what shall I call it, mean to you and Mom because of what you believe,” Paul said to his dad. Stan smiled and said to his son, “I know. They think I don’t know what they say and think, but I do. But honestly, Paul, while I love my extended family and want them to know the Lord Jesus as their Savior, it really doesn’t matter what they say about me. What matters the most is that we remember that the Lord Jesus is coming for us and we don’t want to be embarrassed when we meet Him.” It was a great conversation between this dad and his son. How does this verse affect you?
For today: The Lord Jesus may come for His church today. I want to be watching. How about you?
