“Daniel answered in the presence of the king, and said, The secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men, the astrologers, the magicians, the soothsayers, show unto the king; But there is a God in Heaven, that reveals secrets and makes known to the King Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days” (Daniel 2:27-28).
Don’t you just want to jump up and down and cheer when you read this? Travel back to the time of this young man named Daniel. The wisest of the wise, the brightest of the bright couldn’t tell the king what his troubling dream meant. This young boy deported from his home in Judah stands in the midst of the king’s court. He confidently proclaims that the true and living God, the God of Heaven, possesses unlimited knowledge, profound wisdom, and precious revelation. This is the same God to Whom we believers belong today. I thank the Lord that no matter what I face, I can trust Him. Think of it! No matter what comes into our lives today, God knew about it already. Nothing takes Him by surprise. We can trust Him.
For today: Let the world have their brightest and best. Give me the Lord, and I will trust Him. How about you?
