“I will extol Thee, my God, O king; and I will bless Thy name for ever and ever” (Psalm 145:1).
King David was truly in love with the Lord, his God, and his King. What a powerful statement he makes, and what a precious understanding he shares concerning the Lord. Think of what King David recorded. He said, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and His greatness is unsearchable” (Psalm 145:3). Never did David live in denial. He never pretended all was well when he was facing difficulties. Rather, David focused on the Lord even in the midst of heartbreaks and sorrows according to Psalm 145:14-15. In this time of coronavirus and “stay-at-home, shelter in place” directives, how will this play out in your life? Ask the Lord to help you to grow strong in your faith, focus on Him, and even praise Him in times of great difficulty.
For today: I’m glad that I belong to the Lord. How about you? Do you know Him in a personal, saving way?
