I am going to do something a little different for my Daily Prescription today. Mostly it will be reading some very wonderful Scripture. I will close with just a brief thought. May the Lord bless His Word today and your reading of it.
“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkiness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s…For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us” (Psalm 103:1-5, 11-12).
There’s lots we could say: Suffice it to say that if the Lord had said our sins are as far removed from the north to the south, we’d know they weren’t far away because of the equator. However, as far as the east is from the west is really, really gone! How wonderful the Lord is!
