“Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction” (Proverbs 10:14).
“So that was supposed to be a good deal?” Dennis asked his wife. “Imagine, the owner of the company with the absolute worst working conditions in the county wants me to come and work for him. He wants me to leave my company, give up half of my benefits, take a cut in pay, and work with poor equipment! I happen to know the last three truck drivers quit within the first three weeks of working for him.” His wife continued listening as Dennis simply shook his head. “And to top it off, he said to me, ‘You know I will take good care of you just like I did those other guys who worked for me,’” Dennis said. What a prime example of “the mouth of the foolish”! Perhaps today will be one of those days that you will hear the foolish talk of people who need to know the Savior. May the Lord help us to be wise today and sense when fools are speaking destruction to us.
For today: Let’s ask the Lord for His wisdom in everything we do.
