“Those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD. But Joshua…and Caleb…lived still” (Numbers 14:37-38).
God dealt severely with the ten spies that swayed the hearts of the children of Israel away from the Lord. A plague took their lives. Everyone learned of God’s judgment and knew that their report was wicked and wrong. Joshua and Caleb were living proof that God really is who He says He is. God’s plan is always best. How miserably and wretchedly they chose the wrong way. Seriously, the day will come when the testimony of the believer will be vindicated. We have this assurance from the Lord. I am so glad to be on the winning team!
For today: We must not be arrogant and haughty. With a gentle and gracious spirit we must speak and live for the Lord. Though it will be too late, someday the unsaved will know we told them the truth!
