“And all the people saw him walking and praising God: And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him” (Acts 3:9-10).
Yesterday I wrote of the man with severe disabilities that was healed at the Beautiful Gate by the Lord Jesus. This man sought a donation from Peter and John. He was told that neither of the men had any silver or gold. They offered him something far greater which was accomplished through the risen Christ. He not only received healing in his body; but as we read further in the text, he certainly placed his faith for salvation in the One through Whom his healing came. I do believe that God still does miracles. I don’t believe that everything that is claimed today is truly a miracle. But here is the thing I want us to see. The man who hoped for a donation had something much larger waiting for him. Not only would he experience a great blessing, those around him would see that something incredible happened to him that only God could do. You might just be the instrument today that God will use to point others to Himself. Wow! What a blessing.
For today: Help me to live in a clear, unmistakable way that will point others to You, Lord!
