“Hebron therefore became the inheritance of Caleb…because that he wholly followed the LORD God of Israel” (Joshua 14:14).
There is nothing like the sound of “job well done!” When we think of forty year old Caleb taking his stand for the Lord, we are impressed. Now forty-five years later, we find this eighty-five year old warrior being rewarded for his faith and obedience. If you have the time to look up Joshua 14:9-12, you will be impressed with how often Caleb spoke of the Lord’s power, enabling, and being the source of his confidence. What an outstanding testimony of living a life of sweet obedience! Sounds to me like something that should be said of us as well.
For today: What will our children and grandchildren say about us someday? Now is the time to start to build a life that will be for God’s glory and their good.
