“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end” (Jeremiah 29:11).
It happened over forty-eight years ago, and yet I can remember it like it was yesterday. I walked out from my Guidance Counselor’s office feeling a combination of humiliation, disappointment, and a little bit of anger. I had told him that I really sensed the Lord leading me into the ministry. “The what?” he screamed. “You want to go into the ministry? You’ve got to be kidding me,” he said. “There’s no money in the ministry. Don’t waste your talents on being a minister,” he said tauntingly. I knew that I was headed for ministry, but honestly little did I know then the plans that the Lord had for me. The same is true for you. Just think of where the Lord has brought you from and what He is doing in your life today. He has a great plan for you.
For today: I am glad that we can trust the Lord’s plan. How about you?
