“For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Romans 8:18).
It’s called perspective. We believers must never live in denial. When something is wrong, it is not spiritual to pretend that it doesn’t exist and reply, “Oh I’m just fine.” Perspective is not denial. It is looking at my present situation in light of my coming glorious situation. For the believer, the best really is yet to come. We are bound for glory. Does that assurance really help us when we go through difficult times here below? From my personal experience, I would answer, “YES YES YES!” Did you catch that I am answering rather emphatically? Seriously, my dear friends, if you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, you can view everything today in light of what is ahead!
For today: I like what Asaph said, “Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory” (Psalm 73:24). How about you?
