“But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof” (Romans 13:14).

Paul is pretty blunt. He needs to be. Rome was a city of sinfulness where any and every lustful situation could easily be entertained. Much like today! Paul warned the Roman believers to remember they belonged to a new Master, a precious Master. The Lord Jesus paid the enormous price for our sin. Those of us that have been wonderfully saved by His grace now genuinely want to live for Him.. We do this by not making provision for our flesh to easily sin. The drunkard should not linger outside bars. The lustful man needs to avoid unfiltered internet sites. On and on our list could go. Each of us reading the Daily Prescription today knows exactly what I am writing about when I say, “Don’t go out of your way to be tempted!”

For today: We serve a great Savior. What overcoming power He has available for us today!
