What happens when your child has sinned? The principles of Luke 15:17-24 are just exactly what must take place. The child starts to think clearly (15:17), has a change of heart in repentance (15:18-19), comes back to restore the broken fellowship (15:20a) only to be met by his dad who is running to him (15:20b), and through the child’s brokenness, restores the fellowship (15:21-24). Aren’t you glad that your Heavenly Father restores His repentant child? Aren’t you glad that you can do the same thing, Dad?

Running to Your Child (Father’s Day 2019)
The Two Greatest Compliments (Father’s Day 2019)
The two greatest compliments that you will ever receive are from your daughter when she says, “I want to marry someone like you, Dad,” and from your son who says, “You taught me how to be a man and love the Lord.” This won’t just happen, but it will be well worth the effort. Happy Father’s Day, Dad.

That’s What a Father Does (Father’s Day 2019)
“Just as a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him” (NASB). Don’t be afraid to tell your children that you love them and never be afraid to show them how much they mean to you. That’s what the Father does with His children. Demonstrate it with yours.

Worth the Effort (Father’s Day 2019)
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15). There’s nothing more rewarding than to hear your child pray as he or she thanks the Lord Jesus for being their Savior. Keep at it, Dad. It is worth all the effort that you are investing!

Never Let This Be Said of Us (Father’s Day 2019)
One of the saddest verses in the Bible has to be 1 Samuel 3:13, “…his sons made themselves vile and he restrained them not.” This is speaking of Eli, the priest, and his wicked sons, Hophni and Phinehas. Listen, Dad. Every child is going to misbehave, make mistakes, sin against the Lord and against you as well. But the key is that Eli put very little effort, if any, into correcting his wicked sons. Never let this be said of us. We cannot make our children follow the Lord, but we must do all that we can to correct and lead them.
