“I will come again, and receive you unto Myself” (John 14:3). “For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout…the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air…” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).
How grand is this glorious truth? At the Rapture, the dead in Christ shall rise first, and then in less than a split second Christians who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. It just doesn’t get any better than this! Christ Himself comes for us. While the Archangel will be present and speak, it is Christ Himself that will come for us. For years I traveled weekends to preach in Family Conferences. Often at the airport I would see people standing with a little sign containing the name of fellow travelers. I’ve thought a lot about this. The traveler was met by a chauffeur who would take them to their motel. The Corporation president was far too busy to come to the airport to meet the business traveler. He sent someone who would meet the traveler. Not so with our blessed Savior. He comes for us personally!
For today: I am looking for Him today. How about you?
