“After some days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, who was Jewish, he sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. Now as he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was afraid and answered, “Go away for now; when I have a convenient time I will call for you” (Acts 24:24-25 NKJV).
“You are the third person this week who has said just about the same thing to me,” Pastor Kenward said to Luciana. “Did you know that long ago there was a public official named Felix who spoke with the Apostle Paul? Just like you have just now said to me, he also said to Paul that he would let him know when it was convenient to think of spiritual things. Luciana, I don’t want to frighten you, but seriously, you have no idea what lies beyond this moment. Don’t wait for the convenient time to ask the Lord to be your Savior!” the pastor spoke earnestly. Like Felix, Luciana walked away from that great opportunity as she decided to wait for the “convenient” time. How is it with you? Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
For today: Don’t wait for the convenient time to trust Christ alone for salvation. Today is the wonderful time!
