“Who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this” (Esther 4:14)

God had a wonderful plan for Esther and His people. In His sovereign timing, Esther was directed and guided by the Lord to be in the right place at the right time. Do you know that God has a wonderful plan for your life as well?

For today:  If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, be watching for God’s sovereign appointments in your life.

“When I consider Thy heavens, the work of Thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which Thou hast ordained; What is man that Thou art mindful of him?” (Psalm 8:3-4a).

On a very clear night, it is overwhelming to gaze up into the sky and look at the vast creation of our awesome God. This is the work of His fingers. If He could create, order, design, establish, and keep the universe in place, He surely can take care of us!

“Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy” (Jude 24).

For today: Understand that the Lord Jesus is the source of our joy, not our circumstances!

“My little children, these things I write unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous”          (1 John 2:1).

John did not want believers to get the idea that they could live any way they wished. Sin is never all right. However, John also knew that every believer still sins. When we do sin, he told us what to do in 1 John 1:9. In our text for today, he tells us to rejoice in the fact that our Savior who paid the price in full is also our Advocate!

For today:  Talk often with your Savior and Advocate. He loves you very much!

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are His”             (2 Timothy 2:19).

There is no greater security than what Paul described as God’s foundation and seal. He knows those who belong to Him. What an incredible security we believers enjoy! No matter what we might be facing, He knows us. Nothing can change that glorious fact.

For today: Think often today of the wonderful fact that if you are a Christian, He knows you!
