“Great is Thy faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:23).

How wonderful it is to belong to the Lord. He can be fully trusted, and we can totally rely upon Him. How big is your biggest problem right now? Not to minimize the seriousness of your situation but honestly, you can firmly remember that the Lord is still bigger; He is still greater, and He is fully able to be trusted.

For today: The Lord will never abandon you. His faithfulness is great; it is abundant and enough for you today.

“For whom the LORD loveth He correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” (Proverbs 3:12).

If you have placed your faith in Christ, you can gladly proclaim, “My Father is perfect!” Because the Lord loves us with a perfect love, He corrects us with perfect correction. He delights in us and never grows weary with our child-training.

For today:
Are you listening to your perfect Father as you read His Word? He understands that we will not be perfect on this side of Heaven. But on the other hand, He wants to conform us to the image of His Son. Think about what you have read from the Word today!

“I will love Thee, O LORD, my strength” (Psalm 18:1).

This precious Psalm of King David expresses his personal love for the Lord who was His strength. Doesn’t it seem likely the King would declare that his strength came as a result of his vast army or his genius in battle strategies? Not David. He knew his strength came from the Lord.

For today: Ask yourself the hard question. Do I live by my own strength or am I relying upon the Lord? Seek to create in your home the joy of experiencing God’s power and strength.
