The Gathering Place Where Family Matters

Karen spoke at a number of ladies’ retreats and special events. Her material was written for and presented to ladies. For those who are new to “Karen’s Notes,” I find great joy in presenting just a very brief portion of what Karen shared from either her conference notes or her personal Bible study notes. She went Home to be with the Lord in 2017, and yet the things she was working through are very relevant to both men and ladies today.

My sister Kim was telling me about an illustration she used with the boys and girls in her Sunday school class. She was teaching them about their words. To illustrate this she gave them little tubes of toothpaste and allowed them to squeeze the contents onto their papers. Then she gave them toothpicks and told them to put the toothpaste back into the container. Obviously they couldn’t do it. It is the same with our words.
