The Gathering Place Where Family Matters

I’m so happy to share with my friends something that Karen wrote as well as something one of my adult children shared with me. Thanks for taking the time to check out Karen’s Notes today.

It is true that I have never met anyone who has lived so well that he or she doesn’t have a regret or two or more along the way. On the other hand, there is such a blessing that comes when we come through a particular experience and look back with no regrets.

The Lord has a design and purpose for each of us. Rest assured that He is at work in ways that we might not always understand.

Karen was not a hoarder. She did not have much of an attachment to things. If she was rather convinced that the item or thing was of no further use, out it went. Please understand, we had plenty of keepsake items because they had sentimental value. But you understand what I’m talking about. She was not a collector and hoarder of things and clutter.

Ten years ago, Karen underlined the following verse and then wrote some very personal notes to herself. Having been her husband for over forty-five years, I know her well enough to have the assurance that this is all right to share with you.
