The Gathering Place Where Family Matters

Typically, I take “Karen’s Notes” from her Bible Study journal. Today is somewhat different. Karen kept small notebooks to take notes whenever she accompanied me as I preached. I discovered some of her notes at Christmastime. I am excited to share this brief note with you.

Twenty-seven years ago Karen was speaking to a group of ladies in a church in Western New York. I know this to be true because she wrote where the event took place and the year in which it was held. For someone who didn’t consider herself a speaker, this lady was speaking at ladies’ events all over New York State.

Coming before the Lord, looking to Him, praying to Him throughout the day, but especially the morning, is good for not only ladies. It is important for men as well.

I have selected a tiny portion of a paragraph in the notes Karen prepared and taught in a ladies’ seminar. She was teaching on the subject of understanding the joy of being the Lord’s servant. She fully and firmly understood that every believer is the Lord’s servant.
