The Gathering Place Where Family Matters

This is an intensely open and transparent writing. Karen shared her heart and situation on a day when she once again reflected about her care for Jeffrey and Billy.

Karen became very convinced and convicted that she wanted to do by faith what Mary did by sight. She was determined to focus on the Lord Jesus and grow in her love for Him as she viewed herself sitting at Jesus’ feet

It matters how we think and how we act. I had the best view of how Karen lived this out. While I had the best view, others saw it too. We can have this as well. Please read what she wrote about living in the hard and happy days.

Happiness depends on favorable circumstances. Joy is so very different. Karen wrote about this, and I am happy to share her thoughts.

Those who know and love my Karen will smile when I mention that she was not a lady with lots of words. So in the upcoming features of “Karen’s Notes,” my introductions and observations will be as brief as I can make them. You’ll see this beginning next week.

Karen invested time thinking through the characteristics of God. She was especially focused on His greatness. Let me share with you a little of what Psalm 145 meant to her.
