“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
Standing at the large window of their home, Elizabeth looked out at the sight of the softly falling snow. Taking another sip of her hot black coffee, Liz whispered to the Lord, “There is such turmoil in our world right now, Lord. But here this morning, in my own heart, there is such joy and quietness. Thank you for coming into this world to be my Savior!” A moment later the quietness was shattered as her grandson flew into the room screaming, “Grandma! Grandma! It’s snowing!” A quick prayer concluded with Liz saying to the Lord, “You were made flesh. You dwelled among us. You are full of grace and truth.” I have so much for which to thank you, Lord. But for now, I have a four-year-old who is full of energy. I love you, Lord!” And with that Elizabeth turned her attention to the excitement of her grandson.
