“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth” (John 1:14).
Am I the only one that has to constantly challenge myself to stay balanced? I’m not talking about physically, even though that’s important. Here’s what I’m thinking about. The Son of God took upon Himself a complete human nature and became the God-man. He was not a deified man nor was He a humanized God. He was 100% God and 100% man. Further, as a man He was totally balanced between grace and truth. If He was just gracious and not truthful, we could not trust Him. If He was just truthful and not gracious, we could not face Him. However! The good news is that He is full of grace and truth. What a wonderful Savior to Whom we belong.
For today: I am thankful that the Lord Jesus is full of grace, and I rejoice in His kindness. I am also thankful that the Lord Jesus is also full of truth, and I rejoice in His trustworthiness.
