Peace.

There surely doesn’t seem to be much peace in this world, does there? The news is full of distressing reports of invasions, threats of war, missiles being tested by little tyrants, and on and on it goes. Take a deep breath. Stop and think of this. If you know Christ as your Savior, you are blessed with His peace.

You have peace with God. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1).

You have peace from God. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27).

You have peace growing by God. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance” (Galatians 5:22-23).

For today: If you know Christ as your personal Savior, read God’s Word, talk with your Heavenly Father, walk by faith, keep focused on eternity, and thank Him for His peace.
