“And she brought forth her first born son, and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn” (Luke 2:7).
If you have ever traveled, you know it can be exhausting. Perhaps you have been wearied on your journey and very happy to arrive at your motel. Arriving at the front desk you were greeted by a courteous host or hostess. Upon giving them your name, they happily welcomed you because of your reservations! How different travel was for Joseph and Mary. We don’t know how long they were in Bethlehem. It appears that soon after they arrived, Mary brought forth her firstborn Son. Today we celebrate and remember that glorious miracle. Instead of wishing people, “Merry Christmas,” have you ever considered saying, “Blessed Incarnation Day”? When folks ask you about this, what a grand door will open for a brief witness.
For today: Blessed Incarnation Day, dear friends. What a wonderful Savior to Whom we belong.
