“For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name” (Luke 1:49).
Mary is praising the Lord for the amazing plan that has been revealed to her concerning the birth of her child. What an impressive and precious word she chose when she spoke of the “great” things God had done in her life. This word “great” speaks of that which is excellent, that which is magnificent. While our lives will never parallel the miracle that took place in her life, we still can marvel at the great way God has worked in our lives and circumstances. Stan’s family didn’t want to move to their new home. Several of his children really pleaded with their dad to say no to the leading of the Lord. Stan was sensitive to his children but was also certain of the Lord’s leading. Speaking to his wife, Karralyn, he said, “I certainly don’t want to hurt our children, but I know this is what the Lord wants.” Check back tomorrow as we continue this thought with Stan, Karralyn and their family.
For today: The Lord wants to do great things in your life. Trust Him and watch what He will do.
