Have you ever heard someone say that someone is the “real deal”?

That little statement speaks of the authenticity and genuineness of that person. I find that to be a wonderful compliment when someone uses that terminology. There is nothing worse than someone being ingenuine or phony.

Tim and Marie stood at the table at which the owner and operator of the flea market said, “This beautiful piece of jewelry is one of a kind. You will never find another piece like it anywhere in the entire world!” That was quite a statement indeed coming from the man that had a small basket full of the identical pieces of jewelry under the counter!

The LORD our God declares, “I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside Me…” (Isaiah 45:5). How thankful I am that our great God is incomparable in every way.

For today: Let’s thank the Lord for who He is and what He does!
