“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6).
It may not have been quite the right way of witnessing, but special needs Bruce had a precious way of putting things. He was witnessing to a group of his friends. Telling them about the Lord Jesus, Bruce was sure that everyone would want to know more of the Lord. But one of Bruce’s friends argued, “I can’t see Him, so I don’t believe in Him.” As I said, it wasn’t the best of responses as special needs Bruce said, “Don’t be dumb. You can’t see air either. But you believe in it. I believe in Him even if I can’t see Him today.” Of all the evangelism classes I have taken or taught, I don’t think I ever used the “Don’t be dumb” technique! But on the other hand, think of it. His friend never saw air and yet he believed in it. Wow! There is something good for me to consider. How about you?
For today: Lord, we know we will be wise when we trust You fully. Someday we will see You face to face.
