“For He saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth” (Job 37:6).
I love living near Lake Erie. Most of my life has been lived near its shoreline. One of the amazing weather situations that come about for those of us who live near the Great Lakes is called “Lake Effect Snow Squalls.” When cold air comes across the warmer waters of the Great Lake, significant amounts of snow suddenly start to drop. Such is the case as I am writing these Daily Prescriptions. The weather forecast for today called for a 10% chance of snow. Suddenly the wind shifted just a little and now is it ever snowing! While I no longer enjoy the snow like I did in my youth, in this I am greatly blessed. I belong to the most powerful, sovereign Who does awesome things. If He can say to the snow, “Be thou on the earth,” I know that He can take care of me and the things that are upon my heart.
For today: Rest assured that we are in good Hands. The Keeper of the snow keeps us as well.
