“O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon His name: make known His deeds among the people” (Psalm 105:1).
Coming before the Lord, calling upon His name, and expressing thanksgiving will result in being a testimony of His work among the people. Years ago I had to take Bus # 2 along with all the paperwork to the local school bus garage to undergo inspection by the State of New York. The bus was one of the three buses owned by the Conklin Center Baptist Church. All the drivers were unavailable, so I was more than happy to drive it in for the inspection. It was time to leave, and I could not find the paperwork. These papers had been on my desk the day before. I knew they were. But now as panic was starting to set in, I frantically looked for them. The Holy Spirit convicted me, and I got down on my knees at the chair of my desk. I cried out to the Lord and thanked Him that He could be trusted in every situation. As I opened my eyes, there on the floor to the left of my desk were the papers. Had I not gotten on my knees to talk with the Lord, I would not have been apt to find them. While I have failed many times, I’ve honestly tried to remember this lesson in life.
For today: What are you facing this very day? Have you bowed before Him, raised your thanksgivings and called upon Him? Your answer might not come as quickly as it did regarding those papers; however, the answer will come.
