“Who being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high” (Hebrews 1:3).

The writer of Hebrews begins the book with a high and lofty view of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am so very glad that there was a day in my life that I asked the Lord Jesus to be my personal Savior. Throughout my lifetime I have been on a journey where I have wanted to know more about my Savior. There is much that I have yet to learn. One of the things that I am convinced of is that the Lord Jesus is my PERFECT Savior. There is nothing quite as sweet as that wonderful feeling that comes over us when we complete a task. The more difficult the task, the greater the sense of joy in completing it. I cannot begin to imagine how hard it was for the Lord Jesus to leave His glories in Heaven to come to this earth to be our Savior. The writer of Hebrews tells us that when our salvation was complete the Lord Jesus “sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.” The price of our redemption was completely paid and the way of salvation was made possible. In great victory and glory the Lord Jesus is now seated on the right hand of the Majesty on high! Isn’t it wonderful to belong to Him?

For today: Viewing my life circumstances from the perspective that I belong to Christ really makes a difference. Trust Him, and may you be blessed in your walk with Him today.
