“I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people that have set themselves against me round about. Arise O Lord; save me” (Psalm 3:6-7a).

King David writes of the terrifying days that befell him when Absalom his son rebelled. It was some of the worst days King David ever faced. The horrific results of his own beloved Absalom rebelling against him simply broke his heart. Sometimes the most difficult situations in life come when there are difficulties within the family. It is then that we need to be honest with the Lord (Psalm 3:1) and depend fully upon Him (Psalm 3:3). While it does not automatically take the hurt away, this does make bearable the difficulties of life, even the very deepest difficulty. No matter how big the problem is that we are facing, our God is still bigger!

For today: I am glad that no problem is greater than my God. How about you?
