Oh, friends, thanks for stopping by Dr. Mike’s Daily Prescription today. Do I ever have a great verse for us! as well, we get to listen into a conversation between a grandfather and his grandson. Let’s get to it.
“O give thanks unto the LORD; for He is good: for His mercy endureth for ever” (Psalm 118:29)
“Some things have changed a lot, but some things never change,” Grandfather Kenneth was telling his grandson. “For instance, I can remember when there was no internet, no cell phones, and no text messaging. Today my GPS can tell me exactly where I am. In my car I can press OnStar and immediately I can speak to someone. Yes, things have changed a lot. But not everything,” grandfather continued.
“Like what, Grandpa? What hasn’t changed?” Marcus asked.
“Well, several thousand years ago the Psalmist said that we should give thanks to the Lord. He talked about God’s goodness and His mercy being forever. That never changes, does it?” Grandpa concluded.
Sounds like a good discussion between grandfather and grandson. Sounds to me like it’s good for us today as well.
Off you go on your way today: I want to give thanks to the Lord. He is always good. I rejoice in His mercy. How about you?
