The Lord Jesus on the night before He died for our sin was speaking to His Father about the Father sent Him, and loved Him. He then specifically continues “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You love Me may be in them, and I in them” (John 17:23-26).

It is my personal conviction that I don’t use the word “awesome” very often. However! When it comes to the Lord, everything is awesome. Think of this.

The Father loved the Son in eternity past (17:24b).
Our Savior, on the night before He went to the cross, revealed to us that the Father also loved us in eternity past (17:23).
If this is not great enough, the Lord Jesus also revealed to us that He desires that we not only will be with Him but that we would see, actually behold and gaze upon, His glory (17:24a).
Such majesty and beauty of which the world knows nothing will be revealed, and we will see Him face to face. It is hard to put into words, isn’t it?

Simply stated, It is awesome!

Whatever you are facing today, just remember this blessed thought: your problems may be many right now, but you are glory-bound if you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior. You are loved in eternity past, now and for all eternity future. You are prayed for by the Savior. You are bound for glory that is indescribable. What a glorious promise. It is awesome.
