“Heaven, Beautiful Heaven, Awaits!”

“Heaven, Beautiful Heaven, Awaits!”

I see the morning sunrise and know my Savior lives,

And as I read the Scriptures, I sense the strength He gives.

I read of His great glory and see His wondrous power,

So I can face the future, trusting Jesus every hour.

Blessed Jesus, my dear Savior, I love you more each day.

Make my life a blessing, Lord, to others on the way.

And when my Home is ready, I will meet You in the sky.

To this wicked sinful world I will gladly shout, “Good-bye!”

There’s so much more to life than money, health, and fame.

Nothing must distract me; my goal remains the same:

I want to live for Christ right now. I imagined I heard Him say,

“Well done, my child, welcome home. Night is past, and now it’s day.”

And I will fall before His throne and worship at His feet.

Sorrows ever banished; Heaven’s thrilling joy complete.

Just to thank my precious Savior and tell Him face to face

How deeply I appreciate my redemption through His grace.

Worship will be wonderful. I imagined His words were plain,

“You’ve been through some sorrow. You’ve had some tears and pain.

Now your crying is over, son,” the dear Lord said to me.

“Welcome home, my precious child. At My side you’ll ever be.”
