“For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly” (Psalm 84:11).
For the last couple of days we have been on a journey with very ill Amanda and very bitter but later very repentant Marsha. If you have missed the last couple of days, go to www.michaelpeck.org. At the bottom of my homepage you can catch up with us in the “Recent Posts” section. Pastor Kenward had a tremendous ministry in the lives of Marsha, Amanda, and their families. One of the key lessons is found in the response of Amanda. She is the one with leukemia, yet she is the one with the great trust in the Lord. Marsha her sister reacted with bitterness and anger. It was the very ill sister who ministered to the rest of the family. Her faith in the Lord trusted Him and His Word. At the moment it was not apparent how Amanda’s leukemia could be understood in light of Psalm 84:11. She nevertheless still believed God’s Word and trusted Him to work all things together for good because she truly loved Him and was walking uprightly. What powerful lessons. Over the forty-five years of my ministry, I have often found that the person to whom the trial has come has often been the one who ministers to and encourages others. Amazing, isn’t it? We’re pleased to announce that my latest book “Pardon the Dust–Our Marriage is Under Construction” is now available through the Baptist Church Planters website store. Check it out!
For today: Walk uprightly. Trust God. Get to know Him far better. You’ll be glad that you did.
