“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you” (Philippians 1:3).
Fifteen years ago I knew that the Lord was leading my family and me into missions. Here I was a fifty-year-old man pastoring a church that I loved dearly. The Lord was blessing our ministry, and we were very happy right where we lived. But God was doing something in our hearts. We had to obey Him. Now, after all these many years of being supported missionaries, Karen and I continue to serve Him and thank the Lord for our support team who make our ministry possible. When Karen and I pray individually and together, we think of our supporters and believe that we have the same wonderful feelings toward them as did Paul toward the folks at Philippi. We thank the Lord for you dear folks upon every remembrance of you! Many of you have faithfully prayed for me as I wrote the book “Pardon the Dust—Our Marriage is Under Construction.” I’d like to invite you to purchase your very own copy by visiting the Baptist Church Planters website. In the upper right click store and then new arrivals. Keep it for yourself or give it to your pastor as a gift!
For today: You are special to the Lord and to us as well.
