“A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart” (Proverbs 18:2) NKJV
“I hate it. I just hate it!” Pete emphatically said as he sat on his bed in the dorm. “That philosophy class is very open-minded and tolerate as long as you are liberal, in favor of abortion, promoting sin of every kind, and in agreement with them. But if you believe God’s Word, want to protect the unborn, and have an ounce of common sense, you will be shouted down in class without the professor even allowing you to finish a sentence,” he continued. “I’m frustrated, too, Pete,” Jake said. “Earlier this week I was reading in Proverbs. I ran across a verse that really describes a lot of people on this university campus. It spoke about fools not delighting in coming to understanding but always just wanting to express their opinion and have the final word!” Jake said. “We’re on quite a mission field, aren’t we?” Pete said.
For today: Fools still are not nearly as interested in coming to understanding as they are in expressing their opinions. For many of you, that describes your mission field, too! You will probably meet these dear folks even today. Oh how they need the Lord Jesus.
