I love this verse found in the book of Jeremiah.
This promise from the Lord is one of the most commonly quoted Old Testaments verses.
Think of it with me today.

“Call unto Me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things” (Jeremiah 33:3).

“God doesn’t always answer prayers the way we want them to be answered,” Luke spoke to the group of teens who were eating lunch together. “But He does promise to answer the prayers of His people. For instance, Marsha, when you were a toddler, did your mother say ‘yes’ to everything you asked?” Marsha looked up and said, “You’ve got to be kidding me. Why do you think that the first word I ever uttered was ‘no’ according to my parents?”

Luke laughed along with the rest of the small group of teens. After a moment, he picked the conversation up by reminding his friends, “If you know Christ as your Savior, then you have the absolute promise of God that you can call to Him and He will answer you! It may not be how you have it planned, but it will be the right answer.”

Let’s be honest about this situation. That was good advice for all of us from Luke.

This is what I’m thinking today: I will call. God will answer. He’s promised to do that. In His time and in His way, He WILL answer.
