“For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible…all things were created by Him, and for Him” (Colossians 1:16).

Years ago the evangelistic team of Hal Webb and Theron Babcock traveled both nationally and internationally preaching the gospel and holding evangelistic services. Hal typically preached and Theron, believe it or not, would actually write a new hymn or chorus every evening. Someone in the church crowd would suggest a topic for Theron. Hal would speak for a few moments and make announcements. Then as the ushers received the evening offering, Theron would sing the new chorus with one hand on the piano keyboard while the other hand played the organ. It was quite amazing to behold. One night Theron introduced us to his now famous song “I’m No Kin to the Monkey.” It is a catchy little tune reminding us of the great blessing of remembering that we are a product of creation, not evolution!

For today: He created everything! How great is our Savior. I’ll be remembering this today. How about you?
