“Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).

Please do not misunderstand me. I love America. I really do.

I’ve had the privilege of preaching the Word of God in several nations around the world. While I loved every moment of serving the Lord “over there,” there is a thrill that I experienced firsthand upon returning to the United States. I love America; however, I grieve over the way that some of our beloved citizens have so removed themselves from the LORD and His standards of moral living. Some of our dear citizens have moved not only to immoral; but far beyond even common sense. I am not going to get into a debate. I am just saying that I personally, absolutely, believe that Proverbs 14:34 is applicable to America today. But friends, this is more than just my “humble opinion!” This is what the Word of God declares!

For today: Lord, please raise up believers who will stand for You and shine as lights. America needs this desperately!
