“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ” (Ephesians 3:8).
I want us to be thinking about the super abundant riches of our Savior. I smile when I think of the little boys on the playground who were fiercely discussing whose family was the wealthiest. The factory worker’s son ended the discussion when he declared, “My Heavenly Father owns everything. He’s rich!” What childlike faith the very young boy possessed!
Indeed, the Apostle Paul spoke to the wealthy Ephesians and declared that true riches were to be found in the Lord Jesus. He proclaimed to them that the riches of Christ’s grace would take eternity to learn. Listen to this! “That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:7).
Stop and let this truth sink in. Time in eternity will be measured by ages, and it will take the ages to come to teach us about the riches of His grace in redeeming us as His own people. This same Lord Jesus deeply loves us right now and cares for us as only He is able to do.
Come to think of it today: I think the little boy was really on to something precious! We do belong to the One Who is rich in every way!
