“In Thy presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).
I left you yesterday with the elderly single lady who had returned from having tests at the hospital. She wanted to see Pastor Kenward and his wife to tell them the news. “I have something to tell you about Heaven. It’s a place of joy,” she shared with her pastor and wife. She then burst out laughing and said, “I suspect you already knew that. But what you don’t know is that I am going there very soon. I have cancer, much, much cancer, and at my age and my situation, I am just putting my life in the Lord’s hands. Hospice will be contacting me soon. Oh, Pastor and Mrs. Kenward, the joy that is awaiting me is beyond anything I can describe. I’ve always believed this, but ‘in His presence is fullness of joy’ is such a blessing that I just can’t wait!”
It was a teary conversation because the Kenwards loved this dear lady. But they realized that she was totally correct in her anticipation. It’s the same for me today, friend. I don’t know when I am going, but I AM GOING! It will be fullness of joy! But until then, I want my life to count for the Lord Jesus as I walk with Him and live for Him. How about you?
For today: If you know the Lord Jesus as your Savior, your final destination is not only your Home, it will be your ‘fullness of joy Home’! But this is true only for those who have accepted God’s gift of salvation. Christ shed His blood and died for our sins. Three days later He rose from the dead. He is the one and only way to the Father (John 14:6). Heaven indeed is an eternal place of joy for the believer. But sadly, there is only one other place for those who do not know the Lord and that is the Lake of Fire or Hell (Revelation 20:11-15). If you are not sure where you going, would you take a moment to click the banner Heaven on my website. This is the biggest decision of your eternity.
