“For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God” (1 Peter 3:18).
Luke was still groggy from his surgery as he was wheeled into hospital room number 1442. His roommate, Marcus, was sitting up in bed and welcomed him by saying, “You’re in a pretty expensive resort!” Luke tried to laugh at the joke. As time wore on, Luke felt stronger and even struck up a conversation with Marcus which quickly turned to spiritual things. Luke had the joy of explaining to his new friend that Jesus died ONCE for our sins. Marcus was amazed because every time he went to his church he thought that Jesus was dying again and again. How about you, friend? Do you understand that Christ died once and rose again to take the punishment for your sins? Have you asked Him to be your Savior? Take a moment to read “Heaven” on my website (www.michaelpeck.org). Throughout your day, thank Him for His awesome salvation.
For today: What a wonderful Savior to Whom we belong. Praise Him!
