“And Jesus, when He came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them” (Mark 6:34).
What an amazing scene.
The Lord Jesus had taken the disciples to a place uninhabited. He and his disciples were tired and needed a little rest. So off they went by ship privately (Mark 6:32). The problem was that people were watching them depart and followed on foot along the shores. Eventually they caught up with the Lord.
How wonderful of the Lord Jesus as He sees the multitude. He isn’t frustrated with them. He doesn’t grumble and complain. He is moved with compassion. Isn’t it wonderful to know that we belong to the Lord of compassion? His heart is filled with love and concern. I’m glad that I’ve asked Him to be my Savior. How about you?
For today: Throughout my day, I want to thank the Lord that I belong to Him.
