“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people” (Proverbs 14:34).
Over the years, I have experienced the privilege of traveling and preaching overseas. It has been such a blessing to meet believers in third world countries and to preach in their churches. But when it was time to come home, I was thrilled. Of course I missed my family first and foremost. But I also have to say, it was great to come home to my own country, the United States of America. I love this land. I am glad to be an American. But my heart breaks when I see the direction our country is taking. Oh America, please, please, please remember that the way for a country to be exalted is always by righteousness!
For today: Let’s really pray for our leaders and our country.
