“And they that know Thy name will put their trust in Thee: for Thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek Thee” (Psalm 9:10).
Mark sat across the desk from Mr. Jefferson, the founder and President of Jefferson and Sons Construction. The kindness and professionalism of James Jefferson was refreshing to Mark who had left the company for whom he’d worked for the last four years. Things were always difficult for Mark at that previous company. Mark would not work on Sundays, and lately the houses his previous employer was building were not up to Mark’s standards. Through a mutual friend, Mark now sat in an interview as he applied for a position with Jefferson and Sons. “Mark, we put our name on everything we build. We want people to know that their home is the best it can be because it has our name on it. Much like knowing the name of the Lord and trusting Him, we want folks to trust us because we stand behind our work and put our name on it. Do you want to join our company?” James Jefferson asked the nervous young man. “Yes sir. I surely do,” was the joyful response. Think of the powerful blessing of knowing the name and trusting the one behind that name. Even the best of men will fail at times. However, you can most certainly trust the name of the Lord. He will never fail.
For today: Even when I do not understand, I will trust the Lord fully and joyfully.
