“Let the redeemed of the LORD say so” (Psalm 107:2).

“Stop telling me,” he shouted to his neighbor. “I don’t want to know about God, your church, or your Bible.”

Stan was crushed. He so wanted crabby old Wilbur to know Christ. “All right, Wilbur. If that’s what you want. But I want you to know that you are making me disobey the Bible,” Stan replied.

“What? That’s ridiculous. How can I be making you disobey the Bible?” crabby old Wilbur screamed.

Quietly and gently Stan spoke to him and said, “Because the Bible says in Psalm 107:2, ‘Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.’”

The next day when Stan stepped out the back door, his neighbor came right over. “I’ve been thinking. If you have to ‘say so,’ then ‘say so.’ I will do better at listening to you ‘say so,’” Wilbur said in a not-at-all crabby voice.

Stan laughed and said, “Well, Wilbur, I’ve never heard it put quite that way, but I will be glad to tell you about the Lord Jesus.”

For today: Well, friends, today we have to “say so”! May we be gracious and wise in how we share Christ with others today.
