We call them junk mail. They are the unsolicited emails that come that do not interest us and we don’t even open up. In just the last few days, here are just a couple of the emails that made me shake my head and say, “Nope! Not for me!”
Find and protect all your memories in ONE click. Nope! Not for me.
Career seeks: Urgent positions open! Nope! Not for me!
Beverly Hills MD: Top Plastic Surgeon on how to improve your neck’s appearance. Nope! Not for me.
I even received an email from an unknown person who wrote You’re the type of dude I’ve been searching for online! A thousand times NOPE! NOT FOR ME!
It’s junk.
Not for me.
Some of them are disgusting and the rest are humorous as they really don’t know me or anything about me.
But there is One Who knows everything about us and He still has chosen to love us. I rejoice with King David who wrote:
“O LORD, Thou hast searched me, and known me. Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Thou compassest my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, Thou knowest it altogether” (Psalm 139:1-3).
He not only knows everything about us, but He has also written a letter to us that is relevant, necessary, helpful, corrective, and something that we need to read every day.
So, my friends, you will probably receive unwanted mail either on your computer or in the mailbox of your home. How different is God’s Word. Cherish it. Believe it. Put it into practice. How wonderful of Him to write to us.
